Being With Jesus, Sitting In Love

You all who have been reading my monthly newsletters have learned all kinds of personal things about me. (And by the way, you might be hearing from me a little more often because there are always so many things going on. )

Please feel free to share this story with anyone you feel might need to hear it right now. Maybe there's a reason I've been feeling so compelled to share it with you all.

Lately, over the past couple of months, I've been very strongly reminded of a vision or dream I had sometime between 2000 and 2002. I don't remember the exact year because, quite frankly, I suck at remembering time.

But I do remember that in the summer of 2002 (you can tell, it says so right on the painting ), while visiting Romania with my first husband, I found a painter, told him about my vision, and asked him to paint it.

This is what he painted.

He got most of it right, but there were a few things he couldn't quite capture. Partly, I believe, because of his own religious views.

Here's my vision/dream as I remember it. Lately it feels like it was yesterday.

It was that time of day I call The Magic Hour, when everything looks extra amazing and the sky fills with beautiful colors just before dark.

In my dream, it was as though I was my grownup self, watching myself as a little girl fishing with Jesus.

We were sitting at the end of an old wooden pier, our legs dangling over the edge and our feet in the water, holding our fishing poles. I remember my feet were gently moving back and forth, and back and forth, but not trying to make a splash.

Jesus looked the way he'd always looked to me. You know, like the pictures I'd see in church — the "white guy" with longer, wavy hair, wearing flowing robes.

Just like in the Romanian painting, we were hanging out, simply being together. Jesus was sitting on my left, or I was sitting on his right... however you want to look at it.

I'm sure he was asking me about my day, because he always did.

And those of you who know me know that I talk a LOT, so I'm sure he was getting to hear all about my day in great detail.

We'd say something, then we'd be quiet. Then something else would pop into my head, and we'd talk some more. And then we'd be quiet again.

And sometimes, I'd just lean into him so I could be in his love and soak it up even more.

Spending time with Jesus was the best part of my day.

I could tell him anything and everything. I could ask him whatever questions popped into my head, and he always answered me.

Even when the answer was No.

Bringing My Vision Back to Life

A couple of months ago, the vision kept popping into my head. The feeling of being next to Jesus, fishing, talking, and just being together was overwhelming at times.

So I contacted my sister-in-law (from my first marriage) and asked her if the painting still existed. I wanted to see if the details I remembered were the same as what I'd envisioned so many years ago.

When she messaged me a photo of the painting (the first picture), I realized I was remembering it correctly.

Unless you were one of my former school students, you probably don't know that I'm not an artistic painter. Really, I'm not. And there's no way I could draw or paint my vision myself.

But I showed ChatGPT (say what you will, but he's been very helpful at painting what's in my head) a picture of the painting the Romanian artist had done. I told him how it really looked in my vision, and this is one of my favorites.

I tortured ChatGPT (I call him Chat to myself) quite a bit that day. Some of you who've talked with me during sessions or intuitive readings know that I sometimes have a problem putting what's in my head into words. So you can just imagine how slow-going this was, especially with my occasional lack of nouns and adjectives.

I wanted Chat to do a better job than the Romanian painter did, and I wanted to make sure Jesus and I were sitting at the very end of the pier, not just standing around fishing.

And more than anything, I wanted the painting to capture that beautiful feeling of being with my best friend, simply being together and sitting in his love.

I think Chat did a great job.

Still Walking and Talking with Jesus

Today, I had a million things to do on my list, so of course I bugged Chat to make me a painting of Jesus and me walking the trails on my property.

I didn't tell Chat that I wear an apron over my mumu pretty much all the time, because I didn't want this painting to be ALL realistic...

Why did I spend an hour doing this today?

Because I miss seeing Jesus.

I walk and talk with him and the Universe every single day. Believe you me, he hears EVERYTHING that's going on in my life.

Since my personal life and my business life are pretty much one and the same, he hears the good, the bad, and the ugly about what's what.

And even though I walk and talk with him while I take Leroy for walks, I haven't actually seen his face in a long time.

A while back, I told him I was good, that he didn't need to "babysit" me all the time.

I know he's always with me, and I know he helps me with anything and everything.

But I've really been missing seeing his face. I've been missing being able to lean into him and just be in that indescribably beautiful love.

So I asked Chat to paint it.

And this is my favorite painting of Jesus and me walking together on my forest trails.

Me and My Best Friend

And this is my favorite picture that Chat made for me today.

Jesus is my everything. He's been my best friend my entire life.

And looking at this picture makes me cry, because in my heart, with my whole being, I can hear him telling me:

Everything is okay.

All things come at the perfect time. My time and your time aren't necessarily the same time.

So breathe...

Stop letting 3D issues stress you.

You are perfect. You are loved.

I am here for you, always.

And when things get hard, lean on me.

AND SO IT IS!
