And we’re off to another year! Spring has officially sprung on our property. The crocuses are out, the tamaracks are budding, the daffodills and tulips are showing their noses. The birds are chirping, and my garden is reminding me that it’s ready to be planted. Though I don’t trust the weather won’t freeze, so I’m not planting for a while no matter what my garden says.

I don’t know why but Springtime always makes me think I’m running behind. Life is popping everything and my chore list gets longer by the minute. Thank goodness our good friend JW comes over and helps us with stuff on our property so I can focus on life in my website world.

With everything going on in the world, things can feel overwhelming.
I may not be able to fight wars or stand on the front lines,

I know Easter came and went last week. And a beautiful Easter it was. To me, Easter isn’t just about Jesus rising from his burial tomb. Easter is the sign of a new beginnings, of growth, of new chances and opportunities. You can be anything and anyone and know that at the base of it all, Jesus (however you say his name) lived and died and lives again and loves you completely with all your problems and stuff you think you’re hiding from him. He knows every little part of you, and still loves you.

I have a ‘ball crazy’ kid 🥰

Leroy Jethro has officially figured out that his mama used to love soccer ⚽💛

Every morning he comes running out with his ball and not so gently drops it right in front of me while I’m walking… jumping in place waiting for that kick.

Tony joins in too, but Leroy is all in — he’ll play until his tongue is completely hanging out… and then somehow keeps going 😄

And me? I’m getting pretty good at this soccer thing… even if I have to lift my muumuu a little just to see the ball 😂
